I created a database, uploaded the files and folders from the download and changed the seo-board_options.php file on the remote server. now when i'm trying to install, the error message Database Error occurs.

Your database settings are incorrect. Make sure you've created a database and set the database parameters (top of seo-board_options.php)

I am getting a database error as well.  I've checked the settings and I can also log into the database using a program like SQLyog and create objects.  Can you think of anything else that could cause the Database Error message besides a wrong db address, user, pw?

UPDATE:  I deleted and re-created the database with a different name and it was able to connect.
