See my forums by pasting and copying the link shown above. I am trying to setup the forums to be lined up
on left side of page with links to all the forum pages on the right; including adding google ads.

Try enclosing all the forum within divs or a table with two columns (one for the forum and one for adsense). Edit mainheader.htm and mainfooter.htm in the /skin/ subdir.

i tried both options and some of the forums layout over-laps the right side of the pages, where I wanted to post the links such as register.

Sometimes I get stuck with design and know what you mean. Just keep trying different approaches to styling it.

Hi,

I have yet to figure out how to place the forums on left side of page and links on the right side, with out over-lapping. What part of the script runs the forums?

BTW, I've noticed alot of sites using this script have errors. I ran an error scan via W3C. I am proud to say my forums went from 40 errors down to just one. I did some major fixing. It was mostly errors such as 69% was missing "". So, I had to find them in the script.

The only error left reads as this, "..ts.com/sports-forums/index.atom.php" /

Where would I find this? I believe I must remove the slash /.

That is plain wrong. SEO-Board pages do not have errors. They are valid and properly nested. They surely don't follow the W3C standards and that's because that won't help at all. You are confusing "errors" with "not w3c compliant".

Yahoo's home page has 259 "errors". Google is full of "errors". I can make seo-board compliant, but that is not going to help with seo. It will help the perceived value of the board (because many misguided webmasters believe in the standards), but in reality w3c standards compliance does not help. It may just create browser incompatibility problems and wasted bandwidth (Google does not follow the standards purposefully to save bandwidth).

Well,

I fixed all the W3C errors that were showing up. My board works fine with all browsers. See, the problem with this is alot of people will come to a site and see that W3C does not validate a website and those people will complain. I've seen it.

Hristo,

You still offer a very good forums script. Those erros were not php errors at all. Let me correct that

I try to make my sites perfect from any w3c errors.

Why would they do that? Only a dumb ass will check a page for w3c validation before reading the actual content. "Oh, your page does not w3c validate. I won't visit and read your site."

GOod question, but they do. I've posted my site for reviews on several forums and I receive that above response.

The smart asses on webmaster forums usually don't have anything really valuable to say and they go for the w3c  compliance. It's like scam SEOs emailing webmaster "they don't have optimized meta tags" and that kind of nonsense. All time spend on tweaking the html to be w3c compliant is just wasted time.
