I've been doing a little informal user testing with my recently launched board. There are two things that I would like to make more clear by adding button links: Start a New Thopic and Reply.
It would be pretty simple, except for one thing: This would only really apply for people who have logged in. So I'd only want these buttons to show for logged in users. After that, it seems like it would be pretty easy just to do an in-page anchor link to drop people down to the appropriate input box (to either start a new topic or reply depending on which page they were accessing). I'm no PHP whiz so I was wondering if someone could help me out by outlining what I might need to do to identify logged in users and then create the types of links I am interested in creating. Thanks for any assistance you might be able to provide. |
